Before we left the Neuschwanstein Castle on day 4 to drive back to Mrs. Broersma’s hometown, we wrote postcards home to our families, and we practiced our German numbers.
We then visited Mrs. Broersma’s old school and her class.
We got to look at a daily schedule of a German Elementary School and compare it with our schedule. We noticed a lot of differences, in beginning and starting times, as well as in which subjects are taught.
We had fun playing a German schoolyard game called “schwarz, rot, gelb”. Another highlight of the day was the German treat: Kinder Schokolade (translated “Children chocolate”).
