“Little Germany Tour” Day 2

After seeing Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne, and Mrs. Broersma’s hometown “Mutterstadt” we made a trip to the South of Germany. Everybody was amazed when they saw the Neuschwanstein Castle. Of course, we had to snap some pictures…

We made a tour through the castle, exploring all the rooms, learning about King Ludwig II of Bavaria who had the castle built. We explored the children’s pages of the Neuschwanstein Castle website and played matching games and did some puzzles.

Since king Ludwig II was also known as the “Fairy Tale King”, we learned about the (German) Brothers Grimm and some of their fairy tales.

We watched “The Frog Prince” and had a good discussion about why it is important to keep promises and what matters in a person.
